The end of the 20025 winter semester at the Environmental Department of the Technical University – Varna, Bulgaria was marked with RESPONSE certificates awarding event. The BSNN has awared certificates to students of the environmental engineering programme to recognise their participation in awareness, training and environmental monitoring activities focusing on preparedness and emergency response to marine pollution of the Black Sea environment including pollution from armed conflicts. Following the close collaboration with the RESPONSE project, the Department has introduced a new subject Response to disasters and emergencies in the Black Sea, part of the training plan for the programme Protection of the Population in Disasters and Accidents.
