On February 24-25, 2025, the RESPONSE project held a Regional Co-Creation Workshop<\/strong> at NIMRD in Constanta, Romania. Building on insights gained from national workshops, this event gathered key stakeholders from Bulgaria, Georgia, Ukraine, Romania and Greece to refine advanced training curricula for marine pollution preparedness and response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Experts from the Black Sea Commission, project partners, and regional authorities<\/strong> opened the event, setting the stage for discussions on marine pollution challenges, policy frameworks, and national workshop findings. Interactive sessions allowed stakeholders to share perspectives on training needs, followed by presentations on scientific and digital innovations<\/strong> in pollution monitoring and response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd39 Defined Training Modules<\/strong> \u2013 A structured curriculum framework<\/strong> for marine pollution response was developed, addressing pollution sources, governance, monitoring tools, response strategies, and digital innovations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd39 Integrated Stakeholder Input<\/strong> \u2013 The training content was co-created<\/strong> with decision-makers, academia, industry, and emergency response organizations to ensure relevance and practical application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd39 Strengthened Regional Cooperation<\/strong> \u2013 The workshop facilitated networking and collaboration<\/strong> among Black Sea countries, supporting the harmonization of training approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd39 Identified Best Practices and Gaps<\/strong> \u2013 Participants benchmarked national training programs<\/strong>, identifying limitations and areas for improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd39 Established Digital Learning Pathways<\/strong> \u2013 Plans were made to integrate e-learning toolkits and IT platforms<\/strong>, enhancing accessibility and scalability of training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd39 Synergies with EU-Funded Projects<\/strong> \u2013 The workshop fostered collaboration with other EU co-funded initiatives<\/strong>, including Black Sea SIERRA, BS-SEOS, NEMOTools, EfxINNOs, MARMAPS, \u00a0 <\/strong>SOSZEROPOL2030, Iliad \u2013 BS Fishery Pilot and DOORS<\/strong>, ensuring alignment and knowledge exchange across regional efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
